Wearable Blanket

When can I put a blanket in my daughter’s crib?
My daughter is 10 months old. On the advice of SIDS-prevention advocates, we’ve avoided putting any bumpers, blankets, pillows or toys in her crib. She sleeps in a wearable blanket, too, since they’re considered safer.
When is it safe for us to let her take her “blankie” to bed with her? Are stuffed animals safer than blankets?
I would absolutely see no problem with a blanket. My eight mos. old sleeps with a blanket–a baby sized blanket–not a large one she can get all tangled in. At ten month she should be pretty mobile, and able to move it she laid her face against a blanket or stuffed animal. As great as sids preventions is, it has all us mommies terrified. She will be fine with a blankie.

Thank you Gretchen Soares. You make it look so easy. I appreciate the video and the instruction. I’m gonna give it a try.
ew ur hella ignorant.
Get one of those back to sleep sacks from Halo (sold at Khols). They are wearable blankets but have no arms so she won't get overheated.
5 diaper pails- maybe 2
30 bottles of diaper rash ointment- 4 is probably enough
30 bottles baby powder- 4 is probably enough, you may not even need that many
4 swing- save your money, buy 1 or 2 (they don't have to swing at the same time)
15 baby monitors- 2 sets is plenty. really.
40 door knob locks- you just need enough for the bathrooms really
4 bassinet- 2 is enough
4 cribs- why 4? 2 is enough
4 play pens- no, go with 1 or 2. and you don't need a play yard also
1000 washcloths- 60 washcloths would be more than enough
You're going a little overboard with all of this stuff. save the extra money for rent or put it in a saving account or something.
remember that until 2 months a baby needs an extra layer of clothing – get long sleeved onesies , booties help with the feet dont get the cute short jackets get a full length winter coat
Yo Kate is so sweet
I wish I had a blanket at the office! Sweatshirt isn't cutting it right now.
just a couple going out outfits; depending on weather where u are, plenty of onesies and light/heavy weight footed pjs, or long sleeve onesies with a swaddler wrap or sleepsack; most nbs prefer swaddling and i recommend the 'swaddle me ' wraps by kiddopotamus….i swear they are why my dd has always slept through the night; after she got older we switched to the sleepsacks and she still wears those at a year old, so we don't have any blankets or anything in her crib….
u need a few pairs of socks
if it's a little cool, u might want a couple pairs of pants to go over the onesies….
sometimes in the ac my dd still gets cool, so i keep a light sweater or jacket around for those times….
until baby is older, you won't need much more than a couple outfits, bc they will probably spend most of their time in the onesies or sleepnplays (same as pjs with feet)….the number you buy depends on how often you want to do laundry….and if u use bibs…sometimes you would have to change clothes a couple times a day bc of spitup or diaper leak or poop explosion, etc…..if u don't have you own laundry facilities, then i would suggest buying at least enough for a week, figuring in the clothes changes…i definately recommend bibs too! sometimes they save the outfit and are much easier to change…
a lingerie bag is great for washing socks and those little hand mitts to keep them from scratching their face, they don't get lost that way….hth
