baby food stains on the bibs, how do I get them out?
my son has now been on green beans and carrots , stage 1, for about a month now, and I have tryed all I know to get the light green and light orange out of his bibs, and burp cloths, any ideas to help me?
What happens if you treat the spots before they become stains? Take the bib right after use and rinse it off with cold water. Warm water usually sets and creates stains, so be sure to use cool or cold water. Also don’t let the bibs dry until they have been washed. You can soak them in a bucket/bowl of water and even add some laundry detergent or washing soda to help clean them while they’re soaking. Then launder them like normal.
Really, though, the whole purpose of bibs is to become messy. They exist to protect the clothing. You really *want* bibs to become stained because it means his clothes aren’t getting stained.
Another option you have is to ditch the purees and wait on solids until he can self feed finger foods (usually around 6 months old). This helps him developmentally, plus any food that falls is in chunks that you can pick up or shake off instead of mush that gets soaked into the fabric.

Just about any machine can do this for you. You will need a machine that has a zig-zag stitch and one that you can release pressure of the foot. This might not make sense to someone without basic knowledge of a sewing machine. To sew use the instructions, to embroider put the stitch setting on zig-zag, the stitch length as small as possible and release the foot pressure to zero. The little teeth that normally pull the material along will now be retracted into the machine. You must put your hands on the material on either side of the foot [put the foot down] and you can use them as the guide to move the material any way you like. The cloth must be thick enough to hold the embroidery, you can use purchased interfacing for this. Just put it in the back or inside the item your sewing.
I use this for writing, pictures, or anything else I want to sew onto things [oh, and it's great for sewing patches on] just grab some material and experiment. Have fun.
